Oxycodone Addiction

Oxycodone Can Be a Lot Like Heroin

Too little too late, top oxy company executives have been found guilty of intentionally misleading the public of the abuse risks of the drug, and many thousands remain trapped in the web of oxy addiction.

Oxycodone is an opiate and a powerful narcotic pain reliever, and does work very well to relieve the serious pains of cancer patients and others in need of potent analgesic relief, but the drug can be crushed and snorted or injected to create a high very similar to heroin, and an addiction also very similar to heroin.

Oxycodone Withdrawal

Oxycodone addicts who wish to get off the drug face a very challenging period of detox and withdrawal, and not many people have the strength to endure the severe pains of detox without help. Some of the symptoms of Oxycodone detox include:

  • Pain
  • Sweating
  • Nausea
  • Headache
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety
  • Leg restlessness
  • Irritability
  • Depression
  • Diarrhea
  • And many more

Oxycodone detox pains will commence within hours of the last dose, and will peak within 48 hours before gradually subsiding over a week or more. Due to the incredible discomfort of the detox and because the drug is so readily available, not many have the strength to endure the week of pain while remaining in an environment of temptation and of abuse.

If you abuse and are addicted to Oxycodone, you need to get off this lethal drug before you become yet another grim statistic. This is a serious and dangerous drug and although it's going to be tough to beat your addiction, it can be done, and there are people that can help.
